What is HIIT?
HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training. It involves short bursts of intense exercise, followed by brief recovery periods. A HIIT workout might involve 30 seconds of all-out effort, followed by 30 seconds of rest, repeated for a set number of rounds.
The Benefits of HIIT
- Time-Efficient: You can get a great workout in a short amount of time.
- Burns Calories: HIIT can be very effective for burning calories.
- Improves Heart Health: It's a great way to improve your cardiovascular fitness.
How to Use a Timer for HIIT
Our custom timers are perfect for HIIT workouts. You can set a work interval and a rest interval, and the timer will guide you through your session. For a classic Tabata workout, for example, you would set a work interval of 20 seconds and a rest interval of 10 seconds, and repeat for 8 rounds.
